After a relatively diligent beginning, I’ve taken an early rest day and didn’t make much progress.
About a quarter of a bobbin of BFL on the Traddy, and the outer layer on the drop spindle.

Friday’s spinning–stage 7 July 12
@yarnforall that’s funny, i was just thinking i wished i had something natural white to spin up, so i could have the fun of dyeing my new yarn!

Another bobbin plied. I have a bit more of this fiber so will probably spin up the last of it tomorrow.

What a happy reason not to be spinning. Congratulations!
Today spinning was a little limited…grandson was up, and we know how boys like wheels!
I spun 1 hour today.
Yeah, me too. It won’t let me post without a picture and the picture I wanted to post is over the limit. (SIGH
Managed to spin for 35 minutes. Finished the dog fur and will ply it tomorrow. Have some Florida Cracker roving and some GCN batt to work on next week.
Day 8 and I spun for 90 minutes to finish up 2 oz of my 4 oz braid from The Wooly Cabin. I had never spun polwarth before and I’m really enjoying it!
I actually spun quite a lot today, though my bobbin photo is not terribly exciting. I have spun about 6 oz. so far, and have about 2.5 oz. left to spin, which I hope to finish tomorrow so that I can start plying. My next yarn will be bulkier to take a break from these fine singles.
Someone responded to me on a tech thread and it seems that all you have to do is click on the camera left of the tool bar, then “upload”. You get the detailed upload boxes when you click on “image” in the toolbar.
I was so glad to see this feature! I hate trying to follow comments all over the place! They should probably just get rid of the quote button.
Ooh this Sunday morning spin in Ann Arbor MI is so peaceful and cool and lovely! The only being I’m disturbing is the Mommy Robin who is trying to feed her babies (Flappy and Fledgey) under my deck and who is VERY annoyed with me right now.
Congrats! Grandbabies are even better than spinning!
Got some early morning plying done. My girls go to camp today so I knew I wouldn’t have much time later.
Didn’t know we had changed until late last night…so here is yesterdays spin/plying…40 minutes. I will try and get a pic to load…haven’t been able to yet.
I am fairly new to spinning. So I am going to ask. What is the reason for the cross over of the loading, for tension?
