Let's get to know you! Sock KAL 7/12/19 - 8/1/19

Woot! What pattern did you choose?

@knitter131 They’re wonderful! I’ve never done toe up just top down heel flap. They fit me so nicely that I’ve never ventured into any other kind including different heels. I suppose I should try other kinds of socks

I much prefer cuff down - I don’t like the bind off of a toe up… if what you are doing works, boogie on!

I’m going to try to post a picture of my sock progress. Nope File exceeds. I watched the video but still problems

@ILVLUCY

I’m not sure how you are trying, but… maybe this will help:

first click the “mountain”

This box will appear… click on “upload”:

Once you get there you will select the photo and click “send to server”:

That will bring you back to the image info screen… I changed the size to 300 wide on each photo above… that seems to work.

I know it is a lot of steps but hopefully it will work ok.

I get to the part where it says send to server but it doewn’t bring me back to that last step. That’s where I get the error that says about exceeding size or whatever. The video was very clear and I though that would do the trick but no

Are you clicking “send to server” or OK? Make sure you are clicking “send to server”

ok, I don’t get that last bit that you posted. After I send to server that’s when it tells me it’s exceeding. I don’t get a chance to change it to 300 like you say to do After clicking “send to server” I get " File exceeds PHP’s file size limit of 200 MB.

Ok I found this new forum last night and wanted to reply, BUT my brain didn’t want to brain so I figured I’d wait until I could… Unfortunately, tonight isn’t much better, so I’ll catch up with all the pretties soon. For now, here’s my current status on my Hermione’s Everyday Socks with Fish Lips Kiss heel and princess sole

Thank you ! Toe up is my first choice for making socks. With Judy’s Magic Cast On it’s pretty easy. Then I can measure the socks as I go along, to fit for a short row heel. I don’t run out of yarn because I use it up and sock is finished.

Beautiful! What kind of yarn is it?

Let’s sleep on it and maybe something will happen overnight.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!!!

I am currently knitting the Snow Queen sweater coat but decided to join. I am just doing my boring plain Jane sock now as it is also gardening/canning season.

So happy to have you! Plain Jane socks are sometimes what we need. :-). Beautiful yarn!

I lost my text so trying again. I accidentally went down the yarn aisle at Walmart and this yarn jumped into my cart. This is my first time knitting DK weight socks. It is fun that they are so fast! This is my first pair half done and then I will just keep on going. I am not using any pattern for these.

Gorgeous! Spectacular socks.

Oh - I bet those are cumfy!!!

So…decided that I would post the same photo I posted to the other unravelled just to make sure I have no problems uploading photos…
