I was cleaning up my papercrafting mess when I saw some rose patterned paper - just what I needed to finish off my rose themed gift bag for my mother-in-law. She’s impossible to buy for so I was happy when I saw some naturally scented rose soap and lotion. Some of the family members, including me, are sensitive to synthetic scent. I was trying to think of one more rose themed gift for her bag. I made her a set of notecards.
All tied up with envelopes.
#1 - Starting photo post #12 on chatter #2 - Finished project #3 - A Christmas gift
#1 - starting - #12 in chatter thread #2 - finished project - gift bag of Christmas tags #3 - gift - this will be a prize #4 - for charity
In October I made all the tags in the first picture. Tomorrow, my knitting group will be making tags to use on gifts for a program we sponsor called Santa’s Closet. This program allows parents and kids in a transitional housing program shop for gifts for each other for free. Our club members donate the gifts. We need over 200 tags. I finished my tags except for the string. My tags will be for those who can’t handle more serious papercrafting. All they have to do is put a string through the hole. To make it a fun event, I made up some extra tags today and put together a gift bag. For every gift they bring for Santa’s closet they can put a ticket in for a drawing for the bag of tags. A small gift just to make it fun! I also made wine bottle tags today - that’s the long tag on the right. The gift bag has a variety of tags - a wine bottle tag, Christmas tags and some home baked goodies tags.
I love them all, but those reindeer put the biggest smile on my face. I love that everyone donating gets a chance to win a prize. This is such a generous thing for your group to do.
I finished these mitts and headband for DDIL. The start is in post 23 of the chatter thread and the pattern is by @DistractedKnits . So start, finish, gift and using a Fiberkind member’s pattern = 4 points.
