This is a game changer when it comes to combating the curling issues associated with the Simple Stitch!
I use this modified version when working in any pattern calling for TSS. Here’s a video tutorial from CrochetKim.
Insert hook as you would TSS; through the front vertical bar then also insert it in the top horizontal bar of the closing chain, yarn over, pull loop through both stitches.
It creates a thinner fabric as well. It takes a little bit longer to use this stitch, but the reward is great.
