Designers Who Sell Their Patterns from Their Own Websites

Another designer with sales on her own site. (She’s posted a thread on the site somewhere.) https://www.cherylbeckerichknits.com/shop-4

I like how feminine and simple are patterns of Louisa Harding

And of course, Kim Hargreaves. Her collection Sand is a thing of beauty.

Gosh, folks, I’m already meeting a bunch of amazing  new-to-me designers in this thread. Thank you!

Oh my, those ARE lovely!

The power of personal recommendations; the power of knowledge shared. Folks, we have a mighty powerful dynamic here!

“Bless those who disappoint you; they’re leading you toward a better path.”

Here’s another. This is Denise Bell, designer and dyer. While her patterns are still on R as well, I believe it’s brand new that she’s offering them on her website (Lost City Knits). Denise and her husband are wonderful people and very talented. Lost City is here in eastern Oklahoma and I highly recommend Denise’s patterns and yarns.

How wonderful that she’s now offering them direct on her website! Like Yumiko, she’s showing savvy business acumen.

I just found out that Lisa Mutch (Northbound Knitting) sells her patterns in an Etsy shop in addition to LoveKnitting & R. https://www.etsy.com/shop/northboundknitting/

ETA: Sorry to be doing these one-by-one. I’m slowly going through my R library spreadsheet and then Googling designers.

If the editable spreadsheet we envision comes into being, I can see having a field for reviews, or maybe a 1-to-5-star field.

I love this idea!

@Amore I agree. Very smart. The first time I met Denise was probably 14 or 15 years ago at a tiny local fiber festival that no longer exists. She had a teeeennny booth outside of the main building and a small quantity of stunning yarn. Now she goes to some VERY large fiber festivals around the US and has done some dyeing in collaboration with Brown Sheep. She seems to have always had a clear vision of where her business is going and I think that’s so important for growth. And for as much as her business seems to have grown, the quality of her yarn and patterns is still top-notch. Her own yarns are beautiful and I’ve even used deep reds of hers that haven’t bled…that’s pretty impressive. I get to see her once a year at a nearby fiber festival (THIS FRIDAY!!!) that draws fiber people from several states.

Not knitting, but some great crochet patterns from Jody Pyott

A designer I used to test for Is at Lovecrafts.com… Verybusymonkey, I’ve knit many of her patterns. I don’t know her stance on R but she was always nice and helpful to me and others.

Whoa, that’s a LOT of eye candy! Thank you, @VivianPearl.

I know her work. Very nice indeed.

@cedarhillyarns on IG, cedarhillyarns.com for patterns

Thank you, Juliejoolzjoolzie.

these are very beautiful patterns! i love all of the colors she uses too

I’m already building something like this. TimelessFiberDesigns.com features family-friendly and timeless designs. The idea is merge everything we loved about Pinterest and sites like KnittingPatternCentral into something with more rules than the 1st and more pictures than the 2nd. It’s still relatively new but we’ve 5 great crochet and knitting designers so far.

If you’re a designer, please contact me if you would like to participate. If you are a primarily a maker, please come and check it out too.
